New Donation Policy Continues at the Bookstore Please do not leave books outside the bookstore on the steps. Bring your donation inside so we can keep them in a safe location. We've had several boxes left outside and they could be there for days! 2022 Book Donation Guidelines Please Note, until we have a full staff, donations are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Donations are by appointment only and will be limited to two standard file size boxes or shopping bags. Books will need to be stored at the bookstore for 6 days before shelving. To make an appointment, call 503-594-0261 on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday from 10 am till 2 pm. See below for guidelines for book acceptance. Please, No Romance or Religious books at this time. Due to the space limitations in our new location, bookstore staff has created a new set of guidelines for book donations. It is our mission to create a strong funding source for the library and that means carrying gently used quality books. Donations are our lifeblood and we love receiving gently used books, games, puzzles and movies but please consider when donating--would you purchase the donated item in its current condition? Book Acceptance Guidelines The Bookstore will no longer be accepting the following: • Encyclopedia sets. • Magazines except woodworking, quilting, fine cooking and fishing. • Books with torn and missing pages or covers, and water or smoke damage. • Textbooks • Medical or technical books more than 5 years old. • Books with underlining or highlighting. • Readers Digest or Time-Life books.
