Love books, have a background in retail, enjoy working with people and would like to support literacy? Then the bookstore needs you! We are seeking people that are detail oriented and don't mind hard work. Bookstore workdays can vary from being slow to quickly working to get books shelved and customers cared for. Volunteers are required to wait on customers, become familiar with the various sections, run the cash register and credit card machine, and learn to open and close the store. 

We start volunteers training slowly so they can learn the process. There is a lot to assimilate, and we don't want our volunteers to feel uncomfortable about learning all aspects of running the store.

The store is open 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday from 11AM until 4PM. We would prefer volunteers to be able to work 5 hours - definitely with breaks. 

Did I mention, we always have treats for our volunteers?
